The other day my brother and sister-in-law called, M answered the phone and all I saw and heard was her jumping up and down and squealing, "Really? Really? I'm going to have a new baby cousin?" Of course, I was grabbing for the phone, in utter shock, I might add!
The news: Sidney and Stephanie are expecting!!! She is eight weeks along and just starting to have a little bump (as Sid puts it). They are ecstatic! The baby's room is practically done already! (just exaggerating) But they have started working on it. He subscribed to a weekly email from www.babycenter.com and at eight weeks it said they only had 224 days to go. Yikes, only 224 days! In pregnancy speak, that's forever. As my friend, Tabitha, pointed out recently, the last few weeks seem to last longer that the entire pregnancy! By the way, she is due in just over one week with twins! But I feel, and advise, that Stephanie will relish each day of this pregnancy; I could see her glowing over the phone!
Needless to say, I guess, I don't know how to be an aunt. I've seen it, but... Karin says it's kind of what grandparents do: take the children, spoil them, buy them things and send them home. Hmm, I think that would be nice! I absolutely can't wait! I look forward to taking care of my new niece/nephew!! I'll keep you posted.

Congrats Aunt Sheila!!! I've only been an aunt since December, and yes, I spoil Will miserably and then pass him back to mom. lol!
